Former Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch Discusses Constitutional Development at University of Turbat

Turbat, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, former Chief Minister of Balochistan and current Member of the Balochistan Assembly, delivered a key lecture on the Role of the 18th Amendment in Constitutional Development at the Law Department of the University of Turbat’s City Campus on Friday. The event, organized by the Law Society as part of their ongoing lecture series on the 1973 Constitution, drew notable legal experts and a keen audience of faculty and students.

According to University of Turbat, Dr. Baloch, who was also a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Reforms in 2009/10, provided in-depth insights into the significant changes brought about by the 18th Amendment. His address highlighted the amendment’s impact on enhancing provincial autonomy and its implications for Pakistan’s legal and political landscape. The lecture session was further distinguished by the presence of Justice Retired Shakeel Baloch and Advocate Qasim Ali Gajezai, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Balochistan Bar Council.

Dr. Baloch also engaged with faculty members and students post-lecture, discussing various academic challenges and affirming his support for the advancement of the Law Department at the University of Turbat.
