Lahore, September 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain has on the occasion of 40th death anniversary of Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed said in his special message that by promoting tolerance in politics we are carrying forward the mission of Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed, he was the voice of all the four provinces, he would practice himself first whatever he said.
He said that Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed spent all his life in stating the truth, struggle and search, he fully participated in all movements in support of Pakistan including Tehrik Khatam-e-Nubawwat (SAW) and preferred friendship with the people.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi in his address said today we pledge that Allah may grant us opportunity for undertaking such works which pleases Allah and His creature. He said that Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed always became voice of the oppressed segment and fought against exploiting segment, he did not believe in compromise on his principles, he was a personality having a heart who felt for the others, this is the reason that even after 40 years his name is being mentioned respectfully.
In the function, former federal minister Ch Wajahat Hussain, former District Nazim Gujrat Ch Shafaat Hussain, Federal Water Resources Minister Moonis Elahi, MNA Salik Hussain and Shafay Hussain were also present among large number of party leaders and workers. Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi while thanking the party leaders and workers participating in the death anniversary gathering and those having for Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed said that his memory will always live in ours and peoples’ hearts, today people have come covering distances to remember him.
On this occasion MPAs Ch Abdullah Yousuf, Shujahat Nawaz Ajnala, former Education Minister Mian Imran Masood, Khalid Asghar Ghural, Ch Saadat Nawaz Ajnala, Atif Azmat Syed, Peer Shamim Bokhari, Ch Ziaullah Warraich were among large number of people present. Quran khwani and fateha khwani was organized for Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed and other departed souls of the family and special prayer was also offered for early and complete recovery of Ch Shujat Hussain.
