Hyderabad, In a significant move ahead of the general elections scheduled for February 8, 2024, Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, the daughter of the late Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, visited Hyderabad as part of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) electoral campaign, receiving a warm welcome from the city’s residents.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, while addressing gatherings at various locations including Chandia Goth, Qasimabad, Pathan Colony, Hala Naka, Fateh Chowk, and Giddu Chowk, highlighted the PPP’s commitment to the welfare of the people. She reiterated that the party’s agenda, under the potential leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as Prime Minister, would prioritize the welfare of the people, echoing the legacy of her mother, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Aseefa Bhutto Zardari emphasized that both she and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari serve as the voice for farmers, laborers, students, the poor, the oppressed, women, and all of Pakistan.
During her campaign speeches, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari outlined the PPP’s people-friendly manifesto, promising quality hospitals, education, development projects in Hyderabad, and initiatives like the Nicvd – Cardiac Units, Child Health Centers, Rescue 1122, Red Bus Service, and Pink Bus Service for women. She also talked about the party’s economic proposals, including the Benazir Kissan Card, Benazir Mazdoor Card, and Benazir Youth Card, aimed at providing relief and empowerment to various segments of society.
Further, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari pledged to tackle inflation, provide employment, double employees’ salaries within five years, and supply 300 units of free electricity through solar energy, as per the party’s manifesto. She also highlighted her mother’s vision for the independence of women in Pakistan, citing the Lady Health Workers Program and the establishment of the first Women Bank as examples of such empowerment efforts.
In her impassioned appeal to the masses, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari urged the people of Hyderabad to support Bilawal Bhutto Zardari by voting for the PPP, symbolized by the arrow, in the upcoming elections. She stressed the power of the vote to change Pakistan’s destiny and called on PPP supporters to actively participate in the electoral process to ensure victory for the party’s candidates.
The event was also attended by PPP candidates for the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly, showcasing the party’s united front as it seeks to mobilize support ahead of the pivotal elections.
