Bahawalpur, The Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) has granted fully funded scholarships to 19 students from the University College of Nursing at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The scholarships, totaling over 43 lakh rupees for the academic year 2023-24, were distributed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar in a ceremony held at the university.
According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Vice Chancellor Akhtar, along with Principal of University College of Nursing Farhan Mukhtar, expressed gratitude towards the PEEF for their support in nurturing the educational development of nursing students. The event was attended by notable university figures including Prof. Dr. Asadullah Madani, Director of Quality Enhancement Cell, and Prof. Dr. Areeba Khan, Director of Financial Assistants.
Principal Mukhtar also highlighted the ongoing admissions for BS and MS Nursing programs, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to advancing nursing education amid growing healthcare demands.
