Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair Calls for Action Following Gas Cylinder Accident in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Following a recent visit to Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad, Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, President of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan and National Unity Council, traveled to Hyderabad where he addressed the aftermath of a serious gas cylinder explosion. The incident, which occurred at a gas cylinder shop in Pretabad, resulted in several people sustaining severe burns.

According to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, Dr. Zubair visited Seoul Hospital to meet with the injured immediately after surveying the accident site. During his visit, he expressed profound grief and sorrow for the victims and called for urgent government action. He highlighted the negligence and carelessness of local administration and enforcement agencies, which he blamed for allowing gas cylinder and petrol shops to operate in densely populated areas, thus posing significant risks to public safety.

Dr. Zubair urged the Sindh government to initiate a high-level investigation into the incident and to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of the population, including relocating dangerous trade practices out of residential areas. He also demanded that effective treatment measures be implemented for the injured and that financial assistance be provided promptly.

In addition to his calls for improved safety regulations, Dr. Zubair spoke at a Friday prayer gathering in Hirabad, emphasizing the religious commitment of his followers to protecting the tenets of their faith, specifically the finality of prophethood. He condemned the placement of Qadianis in influential positions and called for an end to their activities within educational institutions, asserting the community’s readiness to defend their religious beliefs against any perceived threats.

Dr. Zubair’s statements reflect a broader concern over public safety and religious integrity, pressing for immediate governmental and societal actions to address these critical issues.
