Quetta, In a collaborative effort to address drug abuse issues within the community, the University of Balochistan and the Anti Narcotics Force Balochistan held an anti-narcotics awareness seminar on May 16, 2024. The event featured discussions led by university and regional officials focused on drug prevention strategies and the promotion of community-wide awareness.

According to University of Balochistan, the seminar was part of a broader initiative by the institution to annually enhance understanding and prevention of drug use. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Bazai, along with Brigadier Adnan Danish of the Anti-Narcotics Force and Commissioner Quetta Muhammad Hamza Shafqat, spearheaded the discussions. They emphasized the need for collective efforts to eradicate drug abuse, underscoring the importance of engaging educational institutions, government, and community representatives in these initiatives.
