Rawalpindi, President Asif Ali Zardari visited the headquarters of the Green Pakistan Initiative on Tuesday, where he received comprehensive updates on the project’s progress and its various components, including the Land Information and Management System operations. The visit was attended by key regional leaders including Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, alongside PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, during the briefing, the President was informed about the advancements in water irrigation systems, agricultural practices, and IT-based operations designed to boost efficiency in the sector. Discussions also covered the development of model agricultural farms and smart farm operations aimed at supporting the local farming community.
President Zardari expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Green Pakistan Initiative, particularly in the areas of modern irrigation and land management. He praised the initiative’s contribution to the agricultural sector’s growth and stressed the importance of continued zeal in pursuing national and economic development. The President also assured full cooperation from all provinces to achieve the goals set by the Green Pakistan Initiative, highlighting its significance for the country’s future.
