UVAS Hosts Nationwide Debating Competition in Lahore

Lahore, The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) recently concluded the All Pakistan UVAS Debates Open Edition (II) at its City Campus. The three-day event saw participation from 74 teams representing various educational institutions across Pakistan, with Government College University Lahore, King Edward Medical University, and Ameer-u-Din Medical College emerging as the winners.

According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the competition brought together a diverse group of debaters to engage in rigorous intellectual exchanges, showcasing the debating prowess of students nationwide. Prof. Dr. Naureen Aziz Qureshi, who presided over the prize distribution ceremony, commended the participants for their outstanding performance and distributed trophies to the winners.

The event was attended by notable faculty members including Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof. Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani, Registrar Sajjad Hyder, and several other academics and students who contributed to the event’s success. The UVAS Debating Society, which organized the competition, continues to foster a vibrant intellectual culture at the university by hosting such events that encourage critical thinking and public speaking among students.
