Karachi, Efforts to strengthen grassroots cricket have garnered significant recognition. Coordinator of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi, Azam Khan, commended the Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, for his notable steps in enhancing the sport at a foundational level. Meanwhile, Khalid Nafees, Chairman of the Tournament Committee, highlighted the continuous work being done under Nadeem Umar’s leadership to promote cricket throughout Karachi.

According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the commitment to grassroots cricket is evident in the active promotion and organization of events such as the first-ever Inter-college Ramadan T-20 Cup, which was held at the college level. This initiative, led by Hanif Muhammad High Performance Center at the National Bank Stadium, involved key figures from the cricketing community including Naveed Ul Amin and Muhammad Sajid from the Tournament Committee, and Syed Rahat Ali Shah, Coordinator for PCB Sindh. The ceremony awarded cash prizes to the players and officials of the winning team, Government Jinnah College, and the runner-up, Government College 36-B Landhi.

This endeavor not only aims to elevate the sport at the college level but also to ensure that the future of cricket in Karachi remains vibrant and competitive.
