Punjab University Hosts Book Talk on Comparative Leadership of Jinnah and Gandhi

Lahore, The Punjab University Pakistan Study Centre recently held a book discussion on “Jinnah and Gandhi: A Comparative Study of Charismatic Leadership,” featuring the book’s author Rai Shabbir Ahmad from the University of Gujrat.

According to University of the Punjab, the event drew faculty members and students who were keen to delve into the contrasting leadership styles of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Mahatma Gandhi, two pivotal figures in the history of the Indian subcontinent. During his presentation, Rai Shabbir Ahmad provided a deep analysis of their charismatic qualities and political strategies, highlighting their roles in pivotal events such as the Round Table Conferences up until the year 1948.

The book comprises an introduction, a conclusion, and four chapters that collectively explore the personal and political nuances of Jinnah and Gandhi. Dr. Naumana Kiran, Director of the Pakistan Study Centre, also shared her insights on the subject and extended her gratitude to all attendees for contributing to a successful and enlightening discussion.
