Balochistan Education Minister Meets with University Leaders to Address Challenges

Turbat, Provincial Minister for Colleges, Higher and Technical Education, Ms. Raheela Hameed Durrani, led an important meeting with Vice Chancellors from Balochistan’s public sector universities in Quetta on May 6, 2024, focusing on the challenges and achievements of these institutions.

According to University of Turbat, Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor, represented the university at the meeting and shared insights into the institution’s progress, notable achievements, and the significant financial challenges it faces. The meeting, attended by Vice Chancellors and Pro-Vice Chancellors of all public sector universities in the province, provided a platform for detailed discussions on the various difficulties confronting these educational institutions.

Minister Durrani expressed a strong commitment to resolving these issues, promising to prioritize the resolution of key challenges and to discuss the universities’ needs with the Chief Minister of Balochistan, the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission, and the Federal Government. The proactive engagement by the Education Minister was welcomed by the university leaders, who appreciated the opportunity to directly address their concerns at the provincial level.
