Karachi, A free medical camp offering screening and treatments for hepatitis and tuberculosis was held in Mangtanwala village, providing essential healthcare services to more than 380 local residents. The camp included hepatitis and TB screenings, digital X-rays, PCR tests, and access to free medications and medical advice.
According to The Indus Hospital, the event was organized with the support of The Health Foundation Punjab, Tasnim Noorani Foundation Lahore, and the Provincial TB Control Program Punjab. The one-day camp aimed to address the healthcare needs of the underserved population in the area, particularly targeting individuals who could not afford expensive medical treatments.
The camp’s organizer, Ghulam Murtaza Malik, expressed gratitude towards the medical staff and donors who supported the initiative, including Mr. Rizwan Sahib and Rana Muhammad Rizwan. Special guests at the event, including Pir Najamul Hassan, President of the Labor Wing Lahore, and local educators Waqar Ali and Muhammad Asghar Shah, also praised the efforts of the organizers and volunteers.
Malik highlighted the camp’s success in providing free and accessible healthcare right at the doorstep of those in need and expressed hopes for future camps to continue aiding the community.
