Muzaffargarh, The Orthopaedics Department at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital (RTEH) successfully concluded a two-day workshop on “Foot and Ankle Deformities in Neuromuscular Disorders,” drawing participants from across Pakistan to discuss and learn about advanced treatment methods.
According to Indus Hospital and Health Network, the workshop featured prominent orthopaedic experts including Professor Dr. Naeem Ahmad, Professor Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, Dr. Muhammad Saad Ilyas, Dr. Haroon Ahmad Khan, and Dr. Umair Ahmad. The event was marked by a series of presentations, lectures, and live surgery demonstrations that provided both theoretical and practical insights into the management of complex neuromuscular conditions affecting the foot and ankle.
Over the two days, seven surgeries were performed live, offering participants a hands-on experience with the latest techniques in orthopaedic surgery. The surgeries not only served educational purposes but also provided critical interventions for patients from diverse regions of Pakistan, including Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), South and North Punjab, and Kashmir.
Dr. Gauhar Nawaz Khan, speaking on behalf of the RTEH, extended his gratitude to the guest faculty and hospital administration for their roles in organizing the workshop. He highlighted the event’s success in enhancing the skills of attending medical professionals and pledged ongoing commitment to similar educational initiatives in the future.
The workshop not only facilitated knowledge exchange and skill enhancement but also fostered networking among healthcare professionals focused on improving the quality of orthopaedic care in Pakistan.
