Bahria University Islamabad Announces Tender for Firewall License Renewal


Islamabad, Bahria University Islamabad (BUHO) has announced an invitation for bids to renew the hardware firewall XG450 license for its Information Technology Directorate. The university is seeking proposals from GST-registered firms and suppliers with specific technical expertise in Sophos security solutions.



According to Bahria University, potential bidders must possess certain qualifications, including a Sophos Certified Engineer and a CCIE or equivalent certified engineer on staff. Additionally, firms must provide a manufacturer authorization certificate for the item in question.



The bidding process entails a single-stage, two-envelope procedure as stipulated by the PPRA Rules of 2004. The university has stipulated that bids, complete with detailed specifications and scope of work, must be sealed and submitted no later than March 14, 2024, by 1100 hrs. Technical bids will subsequently be opened on the same day at 1130 hours at the specified location in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives.



Furthermore, the university requires a non-refundable fee of Rs.5,000 for the bidding documents and a 2% bid security of the total bid value. All bids must be inclusive of all applicable taxes, transportation, and installation costs.
