U19 Women Cricketers to Attend Skills Camp in Multan for Tri-Series Preparation

Lahore, Twenty-nine U19 women cricketers are set to participate in a 15-day skills camp at the Inzamam-ul-Haq High Performance Centre in Multan, starting from Sunday, 10 December. The camp, which begins tomorrow evening, is a critical preparatory step for the players ahead of the upcoming U19 tri-series in Bangladesh next month.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the camp’s primary objective is to identify and prepare players for the tri-series, where Pakistan will compete alongside Bangladesh and Sri Lanka U19 women cricket teams. The exact schedule of the tri-series will be announced later. The camp will feature various training sessions, match scenarios, and a T20 practice game. Coaches and members of the selection committee will closely monitor each player’s performance, focusing on their skills and fitness, to help in selecting a balanced squad for the tournament.

Among the 29 players attending the camp, seven were part of the 15-member squad that participated in the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup earlier this year in South Africa. These players include Anosha Nasir, Eyman Fatima, Haniah Ahmer, Laiba Nasir, Mahnoor Aftab, Rida Aslam, and Zaib-un-Nisa.

The list of U19 players attending the camp in alphabetical order includes Aleesa Mukhtiar, Anosha Nasir, Aqsa Yousaf, Areesha Ansari, Eyman Fatima, Haleema Dua, Haniah Ahmer, Humaira Ghulam Hussain, Kainat Eiman, Komal Khan, Laiba Nasir, Maham Anees, Mahnoor Aftab, Memoona Khalid, Memoona Tippu Sultan, Mubeen Ahmed, Muqadas Bukhari, Muskan Abid, Ravail Farhan, Rida Aslam, Saba Sher, Samiya Afsar, Sana Talib, Taskyn Fatima, Tayyaba Imdad, Wasifa Hussain, Zaib-un-Nisa, Zarish Farooq Samuel, and Zoofishan Ayyaz.

The support staff for the camp includes Wasim Yousafi as head coach, Shakir Qayyum as assistant coach, Aisha Jalil as manager, Zulfiqar Babar as spin bowling coach, Tehreem Sumbal as physio, Muhammad Ramzan as strength and conditioning coach, Muhammad Usman Shahid as analyst, and Ameerullah as event officer.
