Islamabad, The esteemed Imam e Kaaba, H.E. Professor Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, visited the new campus of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), where he was given a comprehensive tour of the facilities and briefed on upcoming projects, including the King Salman bin Abdul Aziz grand mosque.
According to International Islamic University Islamabad, during his visit, Imam e Kaaba was accompanied by IIUI President, Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, who provided detailed insights into the male and female campuses, faculties, and various facilities at the university. A significant highlight of the visit was the site for the King Salman bin Abdul Aziz grand mosque, which is estimated to be built at a cost of approximately 32 million dollars. The mosque, designed to accommodate a large number of worshippers, will feature an inner hall with a capacity for 4000 male and 2000 female worshippers, and an additional space in the yard for 6000 people. It will also include a library, a museum, and the Muhammad bin Salman Auditorium for conferences.
H.E. Professor Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid expressed his gratitude for the hospitality extended by IIUI management and recognized the university’s international stature, which he believes will be further enhanced by the endowment from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He also praised the university’s rector and president for their successful organization of a conference on “Protection of Human Life in Shariah and Law”. Imam e Kaaba acknowledged IIUI’s significant role in serving the Muslim world, highlighting its clear and dedicated mission.
The visit of Imam e Kaaba to IIUI underscores the university’s growing prominence in the Islamic educational landscape and its commitment to facilitating religious, cultural, and academic pursuits in the Muslim world.
