72% of Pakistanis Perceive Economic Decline, Survey Reveals

Islamabad, A recent survey has disclosed that a substantial majority of Pakistanis, totaling 72%, believe that the nation’s economic state has seen a decline in recent times, highlighting prevailing sentiments about the country’s economic direction.

According to a news release by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan and Dun and Bradstreet Pakistan, the survey sought opinions from a nationally representative sample of adult men and women from various regions of the country. The central query posed to the participants was, “In your opinion, compared to the previous six months, how is the economic situation of the country today?” The feedback was diverse: 2% felt it was ‘much better’, 14% considered it ‘better’, 10% perceived it as the ‘same as before’, 41% judged it to be ‘worse’, 31% believed it was ‘much worse’, while 1% were uncertain or refrained from answering.

This data offers an insightful glimpse into the populace’s perception, hinting at prevailing economic concerns among the citizens.
