52% Pakistanis believe that young people should get education according to their personal interests and liking as opposed to worthiness of employment prospects of the degree: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan

Islamabad, June 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 52% of Pakistanis believe that young people should get education according to their personal interests and liking as opposed to worthiness of employment prospects of the degree.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country, was asked the question “Some people believe that young people should receive education that is in line with employment opportunities, while others believe that young people should receive education that interests them, and they enjoy studying. What is your opinion?” In response, 42% said education in line with employment opportunities, 52% said education according to personal interest and liking, and 6% said they do not know or gave no response.

Question: “Some people believe that young people should receive education that is in line with employment opportunities, while others believe that young people should receive education that interests them, and they enjoy studying. What is your opinion?”
