Lahore, June 24, 2023 (PPI-OT): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore has been ranked among 351-400 universities by Time Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2023. The UVAS has improved its ranking band from 401-500 to 351-400 in the latest THE Asia University Rankings.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad said that UVAS has improved its ranking by focusing on quality of education, research, extension and community services and good linkages with the industry. He said that this achievement is the result of joint efforts by the faculty, staff and the QEC team. He congratulated all the UVAS stakeholders on this achievement and resolved to further improve its ranking and excellence.

Lahore, June 24, 2023 (PPI-OT): Punjab University will conduct entry test for admission in undergraduate programs on Sunday (today). As many as 7 different exams will be conducted for all undergraduate programs. According to spokesperson, PU undergraduate entrance test will be conducted in important cities of the country including Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, Gilgit, Sakrdu Dera Ismail Khan, Lahore etc. He said that the entry test is mandatory for undergraduate admissions in PU for which more than 41 thousand students were registered. He said that for admissions in Punjab University, 25% marks are reserved for written entrance test.

According to the details, PU-E test will be for pre-engineering discipline, PU-M test for pre-medical discipline, PU-AHS test for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines, PU-CSP test for ICS with Physics combination, PU-CSS test for ICS with Statistics discipline, PU-GS test for General Science discipline and PU-COM test for Commerce discipline will be conducted.

Bahawalpur, June 24, 2023 (PPI-OT):Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has been recognized by the Higher Education Commission after almost 11 years. In this regard, a ceremony was held at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. Vice-Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said in his presidential address that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has made its name known worldwide in quality research.

The research activities of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur are aligned with the country’s aspirations and needs. Special prizes are awarded to encourage research. Director ORIC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Atif briefed the participants in detail about the steps to be taken for this success. He added that sustainability and development is the real challenge. The participants of the meeting appreciated the efforts made by ORIC for this achievement and assured support from the faculty and administration to take the research to the next level in the coming time.

Faisalabad, June 24, 2023 (PPI-OT):An Education Expo serves as a platform for universities and educational institutions to showcase their academic programs, innovations and initiatives. The University of Faisalabad participated in The News Education Expo held in the city of Saints, Multan on 22nd June, 2023. The event was inaugurated and visited by Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani, former Prime Minister of Pakistan. The venue was full of participants and more than 40 stalls including various universities and educational institutions had been set up to provide first-hand information to the visitors.
