Bahawalpur, November 30, 2022 (PPI-OT):Career counselling is very important in the life of students to determine the right career direction. It helps students develop their skills according to their interest. These views were expressed by Shahid Afzal Durrani, Director Career Counselling and Placement Centre, Islamia University of Bahawalpur while addressing an awareness session organized for history students. The session was organized by the Career Counselling and Placement Center in association with the Department of History.
Speaking on the occasion, Resource Person Shahid Afzal Durrani informed the audience about the aims and objectives of the Career Counselling and Placement Center and its important initiatives. He emphasized that all students should focus on communication, presentation, leadership and time management skills in their life management skills.
Meanwhile, Dr. Muhammad Shafiq, Assistant Professor, Department of History and Deputy Director Career Counselling and Placement Center welcomed the participants of the event. He commented that choosing the right career is an important and life-changing decision in a student’s life.
Otherwise, a wrong decision can lead to lifelong regret, disappointment and degradation. In her closing remarks, Dr. Samia Khalid, in-charge of the Department of History, appreciated the various initiatives taken by the Career Counselling and Placement Center to enhance the skills of students in various fields.
