A workshop on UI/UX Design at PID, UET Lahore 

Lahore, February 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Department of Product and Industrial Design (PID) organized workshop on UI/UX Design at departmental library. The purpose of this workshop was to enhance skills in UI and UX design. In this workshop guest speakers Sahar Asif, a product designer from UET Lahore, and Fatima Bintay Anis, a senior UI designer for amazon foods Dubai, highlighted the significance of product designers in UI and UX industry.

More than 60 participants and faculty members actively attended the workshop. Towards the end of the workshop, a brief overview of ‘Figma’ was provided that will enable participants to map their design thinking process in UI and UX, the day ended with a thanking note to all participants. This workshop was organized by Ms Mona Gulzar and Ms Anum Shamshad both are Assistant Professor in Product and Industrial Design Department, UET, Lahore.

UET Media Society will organize Photomontage on “100 years academic excellence of UET Lahore”

Lahore, February 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):Group discipline produces a unified effort towards a common goal. Photomontage is an annual tradition of UMS celebrated to give warm welcome to freshers. It includes gathering students together and picturing them as a wonderful memory. It’s a great platform for students to meet and explore each other and gain confidence in an entirely new atmosphere.

As UET is celebrating its 100 years of Academic Excellence, UET Media Society also took part to celebrate this memorable eve. This time Theme of Photomontage will be “100 years academic excellence of UET Lahore”. All the students of UET LAHORE (18 19 20 21) will be gathered symmetrically according to this theme.

Delegation of the 66 Scholarship Foundation calls on IIUI Rector, President 

Islamabad, February 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):A delegation of the 66 Scholarship Foundation headed by its Chief Executive Naveed Afraz called on International Islamic University (IIU) Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai and President Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi at their offices.

In the meeting with Rector, issues of mutual interest were discussed. The Rector expressed happiness over the Memorandum of Understanding and appreciated the spirit of the Foundation. He said that whatever money would be spent for the education of the youth today it will have far-reaching results for the development, success and prosperity of the nation. The delegation members hailed the IIUI’s international stature and its services. They also appreciated that a handsome number of international students and faculty are present at the university.

In the meeting of the delegation with Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, he appreciated the efforts made and transparency being adopted for award of scholarships and thanked the delegation for visiting IIUI. He hoped that both would explore a lot of opportunities that can be utilized through joint ventures between University and the Foundation.

Mr. Naveed Afraz Chief Executive the 66 Scholarship Foundation told the IIUI President that The 66 Scholarship Foundation is a charitable organization providing financial support to the neediest students up to undergraduate level. He said that the Foundation believes in equal opportunity for all students; boys and girls, Muslims and Non-Muslims.

Spring Admission 2022 major Admission Campaign is started at IUB 

Bahawalpur, February 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Spring Admission 2022 major admission campaign is started. This year admissions are being provided in 102 Morning and Evening programs in the campuses of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan. On the direction of Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, like last year, the Central Admission Cell and Liaison Office under the Directorate of Academics, Directorate of IT and Directorate of Communication and Public Relations are welcoming the students at Abbasia Campus.

This year also special admission centers have been set up in Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar for the convenience of students and parents in remote areas of Bahawalpur division where information and guidance on admissions, career counselling and applying online can be obtained. Services related to It is worth mentioning that the establishment of the best online admission portal and central admission cell in Islamia University Bahawalpur last year resulted in more than 145,000 applications for fall admissions and after these admissions the number of students in the university increased from 53,000.

It has more than tripled in two years. At the special direction of the Vice Chancellor, more than 30 new buses have been added to the Transport Flat and University Transport Flat is providing transportation facilities not only to students from Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar city but now to Lodhran, Yazman, these facilities have been increased for the students of Ahmadpur East, Khanqah Sharif, Khairpur Tamiwali and Lal Sohanra and the students are being provided with comfortable and quality travel facility. Medical facilities at all campuses were upgraded and 3 new ambulances were provided.

Islamia University Bahawalpur became the first Hepatitis Free University in the country. The fees of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur have not been increased and the fees of the university are still lower than other universities. Rs. 700 million has been allocated under Prime Minister Ehsaas Scholarship, Need Based, PEF and Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Scholarships.

Sports facilities were significantly increased, sports complexes were upgraded and a well-equipped gymnasium was established. Student accommodation has also been improved and four new hostels with a capacity of 1000 have been activated. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is one of the few universities in the country where the Covid-19 crisis did not cause any educational loss to the students and the semester was completed with the timely launch of online classes and now the final term examinations are underway.

Bahawalpur, February 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):Dr. Zahid Kamran, Chairman Department of Animal Nutrition, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences has been appointed as the Technical Member (Punjab) of the Camel Association of Pakistan (CAP). Similarly, Mr. Mashhood Bhatti, a student of BS Animal Science has been elected as the member of CAP cabinet 2022-24 on student seat. Dean Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Professor Dr. Muhammad Khalid Mansoor has congratulated, and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Zahid Kamran and Dr. Muhammad Yousaf, Assistant Professor Animal Nutrition, for making a strong representation of Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, IUB in the CAP.
