JES3^plus, developed by Phoenix Software International, Inc., is a derivative work based on z/OS^® JES3, and offers a path forward for organizations wishing to remain on JES3 technology in lieu of a costly and potentially risky JES2 conversion. z/OS 2.5, the latest release of the operating system, is the last to include JES3. Peshawar, February 01, 2022 (PPI-OT):Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals for the appointment on the following positions, under National Research Program for Universities – Higher Education Commission project No. 9286, titled “Development of Multifunctional Bacterial Cellulose-Based Hybrid Photoactive Membranes Towards The Design of Antibacterial Facemasks and Self-Cleaning Temporary Skin Substitutes”.

The candidates fulfilling the prescribed qualification, experience and other conditions may submit their application along with the relevant documents within 15 days of this advertisement. The candidates are required to possess at least two first divisions (one in M.Sc/B.Sc. (Hons)) and no third division in the academic career.

Project information: The project duration is 36 months, however, subject to the availability of funds from donor Agency. The above positions are purely on temporary basis. The selected candidate will be required to sign a bond relating to work efficiency and other rules/regulations for entire duration of the project.

Contract duration: The initial appointment will be for 12 months, which will be extended for the remaining period of the project based on the satisfactory performance of the applicant and availability of funds from donor Agency.

Young Scientist of the University of Haripur honoured with COMSTECH Research Award

Haripur, February 01, 2022 (PPI-OT):It is a matter of distinct honour and pride for the University of Haripur (UOH) to share that Dr. Shah Fahd from Department of Agronomy has won COMSTECH Young Researcher Award 2021. COMSTECH Awards are conferred biennially in Basic Sciences and in Excellence in Science and Technology to recognize the outstanding research work carried out by scientists who are citizens of, and working in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states.

Dr. Shah is amongst five new faculty members whose names have appeared in the Stanford University list of top 2% scientists of the world. He is recruited in the UOH during last two years which reflect merit-based appointments and transparency system at the UOH. Prof. Anwar Gilani (HI), Vice Chancellor of the UOH congratulated Dr. Shah Fahd for his great achievement and placing the name of the UOH yet again at international forums.
