TiE Global Pitch Competition 

Lahore, February 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):UCP with a vision of youth empowerment encourages its students to bring novel and innovative ideas addressing a spectrum of issues in society. To equip the students with the skills and knowledge desired to come up with innovative ideas, an introductory session on the TiE Global Pitch Competition was organized at UCP on Feb 09, 2022, targeting students across all domains. Delegates from TiE were taken online to provide general guidelines about the competition with an emphasis on nurturing the startups.

This program features a global pitch competition that is purely designed for university start-ups and brings together startups, TiE members, external mentors, coaches, and ecosystem partners. Some of the potential benefits that it offers to the participating students are cash prizes worth USD 100,000, global internship opportunities, free workshops and boot camps on building a resume and entrepreneurial skills, and mentorship from business leaders across the globe.

Admission Test and Interview in M.Phil. History Programme Semester Spring 2022

Islamabad, February 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):Admission Test will be conducted on 23rd February, 2022 (Wednesday) at 9.00 am in Academic Block, AIOU Main Campus Sector H-8, Islamabad. A list of successful candidates in written test will be displayed on the same day at the Notice Board Block 9. The interview will be held on 24th February 2022 (Thursday) at 9:00 am in the Department of History, Block 9, AIOU Islamabad. Please bring CNIC, original documents, 02 sets of attested documents and Original Challan of Rs. 500 for test/interview. The Test of 100 marks (MCQs 80% + 20% Subjective) will be consisted of the following components:

Subject: 50%

Computers: 10%

English language: 10%

Analytical reasoning: 10%

Subjective: 20%

Note: All the courses of MA Program are included in the subject. Only those candidates will be called for interview who score 60% marks in the Test.

An MoU signed between Faisalabad Business School and Nayatel Limited Pakistan 

Faisalabad, February 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):A team from Nayatel Limited Pakistan consisting of Ahsan Saleem Khan, General Manager, Muhammad Jahangir Ali, Key Account Manager and Muhammad Usman Ilahi, Senior Management Executive visited Faisalabad Business School. Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Baig, Director FBS and Mr. Muhammad Usman, Lecturer Economics briefed them about the R and D facilities available at FBS, NTU. An MoU was signed between Nayatel Limited Pakistan and Faisalabad Business School-NTU. The two organizations aimed to work on the transfer of knowledge. They will also work jointly on strengthening the academia and industry linkages so that they can mutually understand each other needs in a better way.

Director FBS stated that such collaborations lead to great innovations and gainful opportunities. Later, GM Nayatel called attention to the crucial achievements of the company and underlined how this collaboration would create a pool of resources for knowledge sharing. Nayatel also assured the provision of job opportunities for the FBS students. Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Baig, Director FBS appreciated Mr. Muhammad Usman, Lecturer Economics and GM Nayatel for their valuable efforts to make this event successful.

Visit of Mr. Musaid Hanif (CEO, Zephyr Textile Limited) to NTU (Textile Engineering Department) 

Faisalabad, February 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):Mr. Musaid Hanif (Chief Executive, Zephyr Textile Limited) and Mr. Rana Sohail Ahmad (CEO, Shan Associates) visited National Textile University on February 10, 2022. Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain (Rector NTU) briefed the guests about the contributions of NTU in the textile sector. Mr. Musaid Hanif along with Mr. Rana Sohail Ahmad, visited the labs and research infrastructure of NTU.

Both NTU and Zephyr Textiles identified the areas of cooperation, especially the improvement of processes, reduction of wastes and costs, product development and taking support of Engineering services. Dr. Yasir Nawab (Dean SET), Dr. Munir Ashraf (Chairman Textile Engineering Department), Dr. Ahsan Nazir (Director ORIC) and Dr. Muzzamal Hussain were also present in the meeting. An MoU was also signed to strengthen the cooperation in the areas of mutual benefits.
