ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule Unveiled in Bangladesh

Dhaka, The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the schedule for the ninth ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, set to be held in Bangladesh from October 3 to October 20. This prestigious tournament will feature ten teams competing in 23 matches across 18 days in venues at Dhaka and Sylhet.

According to International Cricket Council, the announcement was made at a special event in Dhaka, attended by ICC CEO Geoff Allardice, President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board Nazmul Hassan, and the captains of the India and Bangladesh women’s cricket teams, Harmanpreet Kaur and Nigar Sultana respectively. The tournament is expected to draw significant global attention as it aims to inspire a new generation of cricket fans and bolster women’s cricket.

The matches are strategically set to take place at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka and the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. The tournament will kick off with South Africa facing England in Dhaka on October 3, followed by a match between the host nation Bangladesh and Qualifier 2.

Highlight fixtures include a highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan scheduled for October 6 in Sylhet, and defending champions Australia beginning their campaign against Qualifier 1 on October 4 in Sylhet. The tournament will conclude with the final match at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on October 20.
