About GSEA:

The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) https://gsea.org/ is the premier global competition for students who own and operate a business while attending college or university. Nominees compete against their peers from around the world in a series of local and/or national competitions in hopes to qualify for GSEA Finals. Founded in 1998 by Saint Louis University, GSEA is now an Entrepreneurs’ Organization program.

EO GSEA supports student entrepreneurs who require much-needed mentorship, recognition and connections to take their businesses to the next level of success.

Student Eligibility:

Active Enrollment in Universities/College at time of application (full or part-time is acceptable)

Operating Business for 6 months

US$500 generated revenue or US$1,000 investment/backing

Undergraduate and Graduate Students are Eligible (Cannot have more than one academic year between programs)

Student represent nation of study or origin

GSEA Pakistan 2021-2022:

The deadline for applicants is 15th Jan 2022

After shortlisting, the local semi-finals of Lahore will be held on 29th January 2022.

We will have prizes for the top 2 participants who will also automatically be shortlisted for GSEA National Finals.

National-level competition will be held on 19th Feb 2022 in Karachi and participants from Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Karachi will compete. The winner and first runner-up of this event will qualify for Global Finals that will be around May/June. There will be cash prizes at the national level as well.

The National Winner will go for Global Finals where he/she will essentially compete with the best student-entrepreneurial talent from different countries. The winner of the GSEA Global Finals will get a cash prize of $25,000 and a chance to share his/her business idea in front of successful top entrepreneurs for quality mentorship. Pre-Covid, the Global Finals were physically held in Toronto and Macau in 2018 and 2019 respectively with a fully-funded trip of the finalists from EO.

Following are the cash prizes for Global winners:

Winner: US $ 25,000/-

1st Runner Up: US $ 10,000/-

2nd Runner Up: US $ 5,000/-

Lahore, November 27, 2021 (PPI-OT):TiE Islamabad is thrilled to announce the launch of the 8th edition of the Pakistan Startup Cup. Applications are currently open till 31st December 2021. Startup Cup is the country’s Biggest Startup Competition, that aims to connect, scale and inspire young innovators and entrepreneurs all around Pakistan.

By way of introduction, TiE-Islamabad is part of TiE Global. We aim to operate as an effective platform for investors and aspiring entrepreneurs to come together and build partnerships. TiE Islamabad, situated in the Capital, achieves this by partnering up with the Government, Universities, Non-Profit Organizations, Business alliances, Chambers of Commerce, and Corporations.
