Poster Competition on Social and Religious Tolerance held 

Khairpur, November 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Department of Pakistan Studies, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur in line with the Social Action Plan (SAP) of Inter-University Consortium for the Promotion of Social Sciences, organized Inter-Class Poster Competition on the theme Social and Religious Tolerance. Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dena Faculty of Social Sciences presided the event.

Talking to the participants, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari highlighted the significance of social and religious tolerance. He said social tolerance is the leading step towards social cohesion and national integration because our religion teaches about the brotherhood and tolerance. It is need of the time that the culture of tolerance in our society may be promoted in accordance to Islamic teaching and philosophy.

Dr. Lashari commended the untiring efforts of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for the promotion of co-curricular activities at the campus for the capacity building of the students. He also lauded the efforts of Mr. Muhammad Murtaza Noor, National Coordinator, Inter-University Consortium for the Promotion of Social Sciences for his patronage and support to train the Faculty Members and students on different projects related with the theme of social and religious tolerance.

Dr. Inayatullah Bhatti, Incharge, Department of Pakistan Studies shared the participants about the curricular and co-curricular activities at the Department. He said these activities will promote the sense of healthy competition and tolerance among the students of the Department.

Dr. Liaquat Ali Chandio, Mr. Sarfraz Ali Korejo and Mr. Ali Raza Lashari were judges of the poster competition. Mr. Ashique Ali Mirbahar was the coordinator of the entire project. Ms. Rabiza Channa from Group A secured first, Mr. Rehan from Group B secured second while Mr. Aon Muhammad from Group C secured third position. A large number of teachers and students attended the event.

Selection of FOMS UCP Business School Faculty Member in Global Partnership for Poverty and Entrepreneurship, University of Notre Dame, USA 

Lahore, November 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):The strategic vision of the Faculty of Management Studies prioritizes partnerships with outstanding international institutions across the globe to expand the student experience, faculty growth and research. From FMS, Ms Ambreen Khursheed (Senior Lecturer) has been selected to represent the University of Central Punjab membership in the Global Partnership for Poverty and Entrepreneurship (GPPE), University of Notre Dame, USA. She is doing PhD in Business Administration under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Faisal Mustafa.

Until now, from Pakistan, only four researchers have been selected, and Ms Ambreen is one of them. The core component of this membership is the excellent quality research publications authored by Prof. Dr. Faisal Mustafa and Ms. Ambreen Khursheed in Entrepreneurship and Poverty.

The focus of this membership is to foster the cultivation of an entrepreneurial culture in teaching and research. It aims to serve as a centre for excellence in academia, research, entrepreneurship and innovation. Furthermore, this membership will facilitate collaborative international research, projects, and knowledge exchange between the UCP Business School, the University of Central Punjab and Global Partnership for Poverty and Entrepreneurship, Keough School of Global Affairs, University of Notre Dame, USA.

It has at the time offered FCCU 50 student licenses at Rs. 8000 each per year.

Once your spot is confirmed by the focal person, you will be asked to pay the registration amount at the bank on the challan provided by Habal Felix at the ACCOUNTS office- and get it verified by sharing a scanned copy of paid challan of Rs. 8,000 with habalfelix@fccollege.edu.pk or by visiting Habal Felix at the Accounts office for stamp verification.

Please submit the paid challan verified by the Accounts Office along with the disclaimer form to the focal person through email.

After verification, you will receive an invitation link from Coursera. In case verification is not approved, please contact DLSEI helpdesk with cc to the focal person at FCCU.

Once you receive the invitation link, please click to be redirected to the Coursera portal where you will be able to create an account on Coursera (if not already created).

After creating the account on Coursera, you will be able to access the HEC Coursera Portal, where you can start enrolling in 1000+ courses
