Melissa Hammerle Appointed President of Intelex Technologies

Hammerle will be responsible for the formation and execution of Intelex’s strategy as it delivers safer, cleaner and more efficient operations for our customers.

Previously, she led the team that created Fluke’s first Internet of Things business to serve customer maintenance workflows, accelerated strategic initiatives across Fortive as the FBS Director of Growth, and delivered strong revenue and employee engagement as the VP & GM of Fluke Calibration.

Prior to joining Fortive, Hammerle served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, where she led a company in Iraq.

She earned an MBA from Harvard University and an BA in Economics from Dartmouth College.

5th Academic Council Meeting 

Kotli, November 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Dilnawaz Ahmad Gardezi chaired the 5th meeting of Academic Council at the video conferencing room of the university. During meeting members showed satisfaction over the academic management of the University.

The Vice Chancellor thanked the External Members, Deans, HoDs, Faculty Members and Staff for their devotion towards the academic excellence and cooperation. During the meeting members also offered fateha at the sad tragic incident of bus at Pallandri in which 22 people lost their lives and on demise of Ex-Secretary General District Bar Kotli Ch Muhammad Tariq. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the Chair as well as the participants of the meeting.

Vice Chancellor IUB along with Secretary Agriculture South Punjab visits Dubai Expo 2020

Bahawalpur, November 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob along with Secretary Agriculture South Punjab Saqib Ali Ateel reviewed the cooperation and collaboration for higher education and agricultural development with various international organizations on the occasion of Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Secretary, Agriculture, South Punjab, Saqib Ali Ateel are participating in the activities of the Pakistani Pavilion on the occasion of Expo 2020 at Dubai. During this visit, they will review the latest developments in the field of higher education and agriculture, as well as liaison and cooperation with international organizations on joint projects. On this occasion, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is also being highlighted in the Pakistani pavilion.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has recently welcomed international students for admission through the Directorate of International Linkages. An introductory video has also been prepared for this purpose, which will be exclusively played at the Dubai Expo. Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor visited Magnetic Technologies, a state-of-the-art technology company in the United Arab Emirates. For the past 30 years, this organization has been serving in 25 countries in the fields of agriculture, environment, construction, energy and health sectors.

During the visit, the Vice Chancellor and Secretary Agriculture South Punjab met with Junaid Muhammad Khoory, Chairman Magnetic Technologies and reviewed the cooperation and progress on agriculture, environment and other scientific fields in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and South Punjab. During the meeting, the representative of the organization Marjuna Abda Lewa gave a briefing on the latest technologies in various fields including resettlement of barren and desert areas with artificial rain.

The establishment of an experimental center by Magnetic Technologies at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was also discussed during the meeting. Dr. Muhammad Ali Raza, Director, Intercropping Research Institute and Muhammad Khalid Sheikh, Executive Secretary Coordinator was also present on the occasion.

Bahawalpur, November 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):An on-campus recruitment drive was organized by Khoshhali Bank Limited under the auspices of Department of Commerce the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Chairman Department of Commerce Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Majeed Maki, faculty members, Director Career Counselling and Placement, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Shahid Durrani, besides university graduates were present on the occasion. A Student, A Tree campaign has been launched at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur

Bahawalpur, November 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):A Student, A Tree campaign has been launched at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, while inaugurating the tree planting campaign, said that under the Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Pakistan Vision, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Green Campus Project and under the Department of State Care and Space Management, tree planting will be done in all the campuses.

Under this campaign, 6,000 saplings will be planted in the campus during the next one week and students will be fully guided and encouraged. On this occasion, Dr. Abid Rasheed Gill said that under this program, every student will plant a sapling on the campus at the beginning of the BS program and during his academic period. He will be responsible for the care of this plant. For this purpose, each student will be given extra marks.
