Karachi PPP Delegation Advocates for Improved Water Supply in Scheme 33

Karachi, In a proactive move to address persistent water supply issues, Muhammad Asif Khan, Deputy Secretary Information of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi and Convener East District, met with Engineer Asadullah Khan, COO of the Water Board, alongside local dignitaries from various societies in NA 235 Scheme 33.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the delegation presented a comprehensive request for the enhancement of water supply services to Scheme 33. Asif Khan emphasized the urgency of resolving the water scarcity that plagues the area and advocated for the immediate implementation of a permanent solution. He outlined that the Sindh government is prepared to prioritize funding for water supply projects to ensure swift completion without delays.

During the meeting, the delegation discussed the various challenges residents face concerning water supply and stressed the need for effective resolutions. The COO of the Water Board responded positively, assuring the delegation of prompt action to resolve all related issues, including both water supply and drainage, and confirmed that work would commence soon.

Asif Khan reinforced the significance of water issues over others, highlighting the PPP’s historical and ongoing commitment to improving water infrastructure as part of broader sustainable development goals. He also noted that the proposed water schemes should be submitted for immediate approval to expedite relief to the residents of Scheme 33.
