Sardar Saleem Haider Nominated as Punjab Governor, Vows to Foster Political Unity

Islamabad, Sardar Saleem Haider, the Pakistan Peoples Party’s nominee for Governor of Punjab, expressed his gratitude and commitment to political unity during an informal media interaction at Punjab House.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Haider praised President Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Adi Faryal Talpur for their confidence in his abilities and discussed his political journey that began with the PPP, affirming his lifelong allegiance to the party. He articulated a desire to facilitate bridge-building between the PPP and the PML-N, emphasizing a personal connection with Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, whom he referred to as a sister.

Haider also addressed the broader challenges facing the province, committing to use his role to effectively tackle the issues that afflict Punjab. He promised that the doors of the Governor House would be open not only to PPP workers but to all residents of the province, highlighting the importance of political inclusivity and stability for advancing the region’s and the country’s progress.
