Lahore, July 19, 2023 (PPI-OT): The female students of Computer Science Department-UW visited Stella Technology, Islamabad, a renowned Silicon-based IT industry committed to diversity and actively promoting opportunities for women in IT sector. The visit aimed to inspire and empower female students to pursue careers in Computer Science by giving them exposure to the real-world applications of Computer Science concepts, technologies, and mentorship opportunities. The visit began with a warm welcome by representatives from Stella Technology, who provided an overview of the company’s mission, values, and commitment to diversity and inclusion and also highlighted the importance of female representation in the IT sector.
Each UW student had the chance to interact with a female Stella employee and spend the day with other professionals from various departments. The conversations centered on success stories, career pathways, and overcoming obstacles in the IT sector. The experts advised the students by sharing their personal experiences.
