Lahore, July 20, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Professional Development Center (PDC) at Virtual University recently organized a four-day summer boot camp “STEM for Schools” in Islamabad, marking the second event in a series. This particular camp was specifically tailored for school-aged children. Over 30 participants from various schools in the area took part in this enriching summer program.

The primary focus of the boot camp was to familiarize the children with the concepts of circuit design and LED control through software applications. Additionally, the camp provided instruction on the fundamentals of programming, emphasizing its application in hardware control. The children displayed remarkable enthusiasm throughout the camp and actively engaged in all the activities. This summer boot camp offered a distinctive opportunity for the participants, as it not only provided hands-on practice but also enabled them to gain knowledge about programming hardware. The trainers themselves were highly enthusiastic about teaching the children and introduced them to the concepts of circuit design, motor control, and the handling of various sensors, including temperature and ultrasonic sensors.
