Bahawalpur, July 20, 2023 (PPI-OT): Department of Persian Language and Literature the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is playing an active role for the promotion of Persian language. Under the direction of Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, online courses were started so that the lectures of the teachers are easily available to the learners of Persian language. Under the department of Persian, an international conference (online) was organized in Persian language, the topic of which was Iqbal and the United Nations. In it, expert Iqbal teachers Ikram and intellectuals presented important papers. In which Professor Dr. Murtaza Imrani Iqbal Chair Payam Noor University Mashhad Iran presented a paper on Allama Iqbal and Iqbal knowledge in Iran by reciting beautiful poems on Pakistan-Iran friendship.

Prof. Dr. Nargis Jabri, Nasab Azad University, Tehran Iran read a comprehensive paper on Ittihad Alam, while Prof. Dr. Iraq Raza Zaidi, University of Millia Delhi, India gave a brief discussion on Ittihad Alam with reference to the books of Quran and Hadith, Saadi Shirazi and Iqbal. Prof. Dr. Faleha Zahra Kazmi, Dean, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Chair Person, Department of Persian Language and Literature, Lahore College University for Women, Lahore sent Iqbal’s message on Etihad Alam. Mr. Jafar Ronas, Director of Khana Farhang Islamic Democratic Iran, Lahore, discussed the topic with Iran and finally, representing Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Iqbal Shahid, Dean, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Chairperson (Ex) GC University of Lahore, attended the conference.

The conference was patronized by Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, while Prof. Dr. Javed Hassan Chandio, Dean Faculty of Languages and Arts, presided over the conference. The reception was presented by Prof. Dr. Rozeena Anjum Naqvi, Chairperson, Department of Persian Language and Literature, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
