Lahore, The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore successfully conducted its 3rd National DVM Quiz Competition and held the oath-taking ceremony for the Vet Crescent Society. These events brought together participants and teams from various veterinary institutions across the country.
According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the quiz competition was overseen by Prof Dr. Muhammad Fiaz Qamar, Principal of the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Jhang. The competition saw the participation of 11 teams from different veterinary institutions nationwide, with 20 faculty members participating as quizzers. The quiz was conducted in a hybrid mode, combining online and offline elements, with the semifinal and final rounds taking place at the UVAS City Campus.
The UVAS Lahore team emerged as the winner of the overall trophy, with another team being the runner-up. The Vice-Chancellor of UVAS, Prof Dr. Nasim Ahmad, speaking at the event, commended the efforts of all participating teams and particularly lauded the winners. He emphasized the importance of such competitions in enhancing the soft and professional skills of students.
Following the quiz competition, the Vet Crescent Society of UVAS Lahore organized its annual oath-taking ceremony and dinner. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Nasim Ahmad chaired the ceremony and administered the oath to the new office-bearers of the society. The event signified the commitment of UVAS to fostering a sense of responsibility and leadership among its students, further enhancing their professional development.
