University of the Punjab to Host Weekly Mathematics Seminar

Lahore, The Department of Mathematics at the University of the Punjab in Lahore has scheduled a series of weekly seminars, starting on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. The seminars, set to begin at 3:00 PM in the Seminar Hall of the Mathematics Department, will feature presentations from various speakers on advanced mathematical topics, including the study of rabies transmission and the flow characteristics of non-Newtonian fluids.

According to University of the Punjab, the seminar on May 15 will include presentations by Zahid Iqbal on the mathematical study of rabies transmission, and Madiha Akram on the investigation of peristaltic flow of Eyring-Powel nano fluid. Other speakers such as Aleza and Um e Hafsa will discuss the mathematical study of non-Newtonian characteristics of blood flow, with additional topics to be announced. These seminars are part of the university’s commitment to fostering academic dialogue and research among faculty and PhD/MPhil scholars in the field of mathematics.
