Lahore, The Punjab University Institute of Special Education organized a free medical camp on December 6, 2023, focusing on public health issues and diabetes awareness for special people and their parents. The event, which included an awareness walk led by Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdullah Khan Durrani, provided examinations for about three hundred individuals.
According to University of the Punjab, the camp aimed to increase awareness about managing health conditions such as blood pressure through proper diet and a healthy lifestyle. Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdullah Khan Durrani commended the Institute of Special Education for their initiative in hosting this medical camp. The event also featured participation from Director Institute of Special Education Professor Dr. Humira Bano and Director PWDT Dr. Izhar Hashmi, along with faculty members and students.
The medical camp is part of the university’s efforts to extend its community services, especially for special persons, providing them with necessary health information and check-ups.
