University of Sindh’s IMCS Hosts Inspiring TechVerve-2024 Event in Jamshoro

Jamshoro, The Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMCS) at the University of Sindh, Jamshoro, became the focal point of technological inspiration as it hosted the IMCS TechVerve-2024 event. The auditorium of the Institute of Commerce and Management was packed with over 600 students and faculty members from various academic disciplines, including Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Mathematics, for this captivating gathering.

According to University of Sindh, the event brought together an impressive roster of IMCS alumni who shared their professional journeys and success stories, providing valuable insights and encouragement to students. Among the notable alumni were Asif Ali Kazi, Abdul Hameed Memon, Faisal Memon, Nadeem Pathan, and Aslam Pervez Memon, each contributing unique perspectives from their careers.

The highlight of the event was a panel discussion, expertly moderated by IMCS alumna Tehreem Awan, who currently serves in the Narcotics Department. The discussion facilitated an engaging exchange of ideas and offered students the opportunity to seek advice from experienced professionals.

The guest of honor, DU Vice-Chancellor Professor (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, expressed his gratitude towards the speakers and emphasized the importance of such events in strengthening the bond between alumni and students. Prof. Dr. Abdul Wasim Shaikh, Director of the IMCS, highlighted the significance of TechVerve-2024 as a platform for students to gain firsthand knowledge from alumni, network with industry professionals, and discover emerging trends in technology.

The event also recognized the contributions of speakers and volunteers. Shields were awarded to the speakers, and certificates of commendation were presented to 30 volunteers who played a key role in ensuring the event’s success. TechVerve-2024 concluded on an uplifting note, leaving attendees motivated to pursue success in the dynamic field of digital technology.
