Jamshoro, In observance of Shab-e-Barat, the Syed Panah Ali Shah Model School in Jamshoro and the Dr. NA Baloch Model School in Hyderabad will be closed on Monday, February 26, 2024. These schools, managed by the University of Sindh Jamshoro, will mark the religious occasion in alignment with the Sindh Education Department’s announcement.

According to University of Sindh, a notification to this effect was issued by the Registrar, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Ali Jariko. The notice clarified that while classes will be suspended to allow students and faculty to observe Shab-e-Barat, essential staff at both schools are required to continue their duties as usual on this day.

Shab-e-Barat, observed on the 15th night of the Islamic month of Shaban, holds significant religious importance for Muslims, who engage in prayers and reflection. The decision to close the educational institutions on this day is in respect of the cultural and religious practices of the community.
