Haripur, The Department of Physics at the University of Haripur recently conducted a one-day workshop titled “Origin Lab: Data Plotting and Analysis.” This educational event, focusing on research learning, was led by Dr. Fayaz Khan, the Head of the Physics Department, and aimed at enhancing skills in data visualization and analysis.
According to University of Haripur, the workshop attracted distinguished guests such as Professor Dr. Shahid Ali Yousafzai from the Department of Physics at the University of Peshawar and Professor Dr. Ishaq Ahmed from the Department of Physics at the Islamic International University Islamabad. Their contributions provided valuable insights and enriched the academic experience for the attendees.
The agenda of the workshop covered essential aspects of data handling, including data manipulation, understanding Origin Lab features, report generation, and promoting an efficient workflow. The event, with a maximum capacity of 180 participants, saw a strong turnout. It welcomed 100 participants from the Department of Physics, reserved 30 slots for individuals outside the university, and allocated 50 slots to members of the University of Haripur from departments other than Physics.
The workshop was particularly significant for MPhil and PhD students from various departments, who were warmly invited to participate. This approach fostered a collaborative environment for interdisciplinary learning, enhancing the academic experience for all involved.
Dr. Fayaz Khan, the workshop’s chief organizer, expressed satisfaction with its outcome. He emphasized the importance of the event in advancing research techniques and promoting collaborative learning among students and faculty members.
