TNFJ Commends Unity Amid Challenges at Nationwide Mourning Rallies

Rawalpindi, During the Nationwide Ushra Sadiq Al Muhammad, Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh Jafaria (TNFJ) Pakistan, Allama Raja Bisharat Hussain Emami, praised the cooperation and unity displayed by various Islamic schools of thought. This commendation came during a speech addressing incidents of obstruction and police aggression at mourning rallies in Islamabad.

According to Tehreek Nafaz Fiqhe Jafariya, Allama Emami’s address highlighted the successful conduct of mourning rallies across Pakistan, which proceeded despite initial resistance from police forces. The peaceful nature of these events, which involved significant participation from both Shia and Sunni communities, was occasionally met with police interference, including baton charges and arrests of participants in Islamabad.

Emami condemned these actions as detrimental to the stability and unity of the Muslim Ummah in Pakistan. He emphasized that the resolution of these issues came through peaceful negotiations and the involvement of higher authorities, for which he expressed gratitude. Emami firmly reiterated the TNFJ’s commitment to supporting the oppressed and continuing traditional mourning practices as a form of peaceful protest.

The Secretary General also reflected on historical peaceful protests led by Quaid Millat Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi, drawing parallels to current challenges faced by the community. He rejected any conditions that would restrict their religious expressions in the future, specifically the administration’s proposition to halt mourning processions to secure the release of detained protesters.

The event concluded with a detailed report by Syed Samarul Hasan Naqvi, Central Convener of the Ushra Sadiq All Muhammad Committee, covering the mourning rallies held from 15 to 25 Shawwal across Pakistan, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan, which showcased the widespread and unified participation in these traditional events.
