Rawalpindi, Additional Secretary General of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh Jafaria (TNFJ) Pakistan, Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, emphasized the importance of fully implementing the National Action Plan to curb extremism and called for unity among Muslims to restore the dignity of Islam. This was stated during his speech at the Majlis Sadiq Al Muhammad to honor the teachings of Hazrat Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), whom he praised as a significant figure in Islamic scholarship.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, Zaidi highlighted that Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) is a key figure in the propagation of Islamic teachings and the intellectual movement that positioned the Islamic world as a beacon of knowledge. He advocated for stringent measures against banned groups involved in terrorism, suggesting they should be “chained in iron shackles” to ensure peace and safety. Zaidi also spoke on the essence of Islam, which he described as inherently opposed to cruelty, brutality, oppression, and tyranny.
During his address, Zaidi also called for Muslim unity to overcome differences and revive the religion’s historical significance, drawing from the rich intellectual heritage of Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS). He mentioned that the restoration of Muslim dignity could be achieved by advancing in fields of science and technology, inspired by the principles established by Imam Sadiq (AS). The congregation pledged to adhere to the leadership of TNFJ and to uphold the rights and beliefs of the Shia community as part of their commitment to the religion and the nation.
