Karachi, Deputy Secretary Information of the Karachi Division, Asif Khan, announced that Syed Murad Ali Shah, the nominated Chief Minister of Sindh, is set to be elected with a clear majority. The announcement was made during a meeting with party workers and delegations at the NA 235 and Karachi East liaison office, highlighting the support for Shah’s candidacy and the PPP’s commitment to Bilawal Bhutto’s 10-point plan for economic development and governance.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Asif Khan alongside party officials including Nafees Khattak, Sharifullah Leghari, and Arham Khan, expressed confidence in Shah’s leadership to address the province’s challenges. Khan praised the newly elected members of the Sindh Assembly, emphasizing their readiness to implement short-term projects aimed at alleviating poverty, unemployment, and other critical issues as outlined in the PPP’s election manifesto.
The deputy secretary also underscored the importance of dialogue over protests, urging opposition to engage constructively in addressing Karachi’s problems. He highlighted Bilawal Bhutto’s invitation to protesters as a testament to democratic values and stressed the need for service-oriented politics to ensure the well-being of Karachi and the entire Sindh province.
