Lahore, During a recent visit to the Institute of Sports Sciences Punjab (ISSP), Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal emphasized the need for improved facilities and modern training methods to advance the region’s sports development. The visit highlighted the critical role of ISSP in nurturing athletic talent and the imperative for administrative and infrastructural enhancements.

According to Sports Board Punjab, Iqbal, accompanied by ISSP officials including Principal Chand Parveen and Admin Officer Malik Nasir, reviewed the institute’s operations and facilities. The Director General voiced concerns over the cleanliness standards and instructed immediate improvements in maintenance and sanitation.

The visit underscored the ISSP’s pivotal role in the sports ecosystem of Punjab, with Iqbal advocating for comprehensive training programs for coaches, essential for cultivating high-caliber athletes. He called for the engagement of master trainers to ensure top-quality instruction, reinforcing the mission to elevate sports throughout the province.
