Kolkata, Pakistani cricketer Shadab Khan will not be participating in the upcoming match against Bangladesh due to a concussion he sustained during Pakistan’s game against South Africa.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board’s official update, the medical panel, after careful assessment, decided it was best for Shadab Khan’s health to sit out the match against Bangladesh. This recent concussion marks the third such injury for Khan since September of the previous year. He had a similar incident in May during the Vitality T20 Blast while playing for Sussex. Khan collided with a teammate while fielding. Additionally, during the Asia Cup final in Dubai last year, he suffered a head injury after an accidental collision with Asif Ali’s elbow.
The team’s management emphasizes that Khan’s health and wellbeing are of utmost priority. Continuous assessments will be conducted in the following days to monitor his condition.
