Dubai, Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has climbed to the top of the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, overtaking Rashid Khan following his impressive performance in the recent series against Australia. Bishnoi’s rise to the number one spot was announced in the latest rankings update, which also saw significant movements among other players in T20I, Test, and ODI formats.

According to International Cricket Council, Bishnoi, aged 23, took nine wickets in five matches against Australia, earning him 699 ratings points and a rise of four slots to claim the top position in the T20I bowler rankings. Since his T20I debut in February 2022, Bishnoi has taken 34 wickets in 21 matches, contributing to his rapid ascent in international cricket.

In other movements, India’s Axar Patel jumped 16 places to 11th in the T20I bowlers’ list with 638 points, and Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, and Australia’s Aaron Hardie made significant leaps in their rankings. Patel also made gains in the all-rounders list, moving up 15 slots to 15th place.

In batting, India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal and Australia’s Travis Head climbed in the T20I rankings, while in the Test format, Kane Williamson of New Zealand maintained his top position despite his team’s loss to Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s Najmul Hossain Shanto made a significant jump in the Test batting rankings after his match-winning century.

The bowling rankings in Tests remained largely unchanged at the top, but Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam rose to a career-best 14th place following his 10-wicket haul against New Zealand. This achievement also marked the highest-ever points total by a Bangladesh bowler in the rankings.

In the ODI format, West Indies captain Shai Hope moved up in the batting rankings following his recent century against England.
