Rawalpindi, The Punjab Arts Council recently organized a painting exhibition titled ‘Jinnah Say Quaid Tak’ in Rawalpindi to pay homage to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, a pivotal figure in the freedom struggle and the founding father of Pakistan.
According to Punjab Arts Council, the exhibition showcased over 50 artworks by university and college students. The opening ceremony was graced by Naheed Manzoor and the Director of Arts Council Waqar Ahmed as the chief guests. Naheed Manzoor, speaking at the event, highlighted Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s significant role as the last notable figure in the nation’s freedom struggle, culminating in his leadership. She emphasized that his life journey, transitioning from Jinnah to Quaid-e-Azam, is a crucial chapter in history and serves as an inspiration for the nation.
The chief guest underscored the importance of familiarizing the new generation with Quaid-e-Azam’s journey, noting that understanding his transformation and leadership is vital for Pakistan’s historical context and future stability. Director Waqar Ahmad remarked on the integral role of Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s principles, speeches, and character in his journey from being a prominent leader to earning the title ‘Father of the Nation’. Ahmad pointed out that Jinnah’s determination, intellectual prowess, and relentless efforts led to the liberation of Muslims in the subcontinent from centuries of subjugation.
The exhibition aimed to reinforce the need for following the guidelines set by Quaid-i-Azam and contributing to the development of Pakistan. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to all participating students, acknowledging their artistic contributions to this significant tribute.
