PTI Criticizes Punjab Budget, Vows to Defend Public Rights

Lahore, The budget recently presented in the Punjab Assembly has come under sharp criticism from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. Senior PTI leader Musrat Jamshed Cheema voiced concerns, stating that the budget has revealed the limited vision of the Chief Minister and his team, particularly highlighting issues affecting the youth and alleging the government’s performance has been more about propaganda than substance.

According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Cheema criticized the allocation of funds in the budget, suggesting that the per capita investment for the youth is insufficient and indicative of the government’s misplaced priorities. The PTI leader accused the Punjab government of engaging in propaganda rather than delivering tangible results and vowed that PTI members would scrutinize the budget during the assembly debate to unveil the reality behind its figures.

Cheema’s statement emphasized PTI’s intention to play a vigilant role in the assembly, promising to monitor the government’s actions closely and to speak out against any measures they perceive as contrary to the public interest. The senior PTI leader also alleged that resources intended for the caretaker government had been misappropriated by the Muslim League (N) and the People’s Party, claiming such practices were now being endorsed by the Punjab Assembly.

Asserting PTI’s commitment to acting as a constructive opposition, Cheema declared that the party would not allow any misuse of Punjab’s treasury and would staunchly defend the rights of the people. This stance sets the stage for a contentious debate on the budget in the Punjab Assembly, highlighting PTI’s resolve to challenge the ruling government’s policies and actions.
