Lahore, The President’s Trophy Grade-II cricket tournament, a three-day non-first-class event, will kick off on May 12 and continue until June 11, announced the Pakistan Cricket Board. The tournament, which marks its return after a hiatus since the 2018-2019 season, will feature 24 teams divided into four pools, competing across various venues in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the teams are split into pools with each top performer advancing to the semifinals, and ultimately, the winners competing in the final. Teams such as Ahmad Glass, Pakistan Railways, and Pakistan Army, among others, will partake in this significant domestic cricket event.
The tournament will be hosted at multiple venues including the LCCA Ground, Railways Stadium, and Central Park Cricket Club Ground in Lahore; Gohati Cricket Stadium in Swabi; Shama Cricket Ground in Peshawar; and the National Ground in Islamabad. Each location is set to see a variety of matches, promising exciting cricket action for fans and participants alike.
The event schedule highlights initial matches like Service Industries versus Ahmad Glass in Lahore and OGDCL against Pakistan Army in Islamabad, setting the stage for a competitive series of games leading up to the semifinals on June 3-5, and the final from June 8-11, with venues to be announced later.
