President Zardari Commends IIUI for Contributions to Higher Education in Pakistan

Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari, serving as Chancellor of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), praised the university for its efforts in advancing higher education and pledged comprehensive support for its development. His commendations came during a meeting with IIUI officials at Aiwan-e-Sadr, emphasizing the critical role of skilled education in securing a prosperous future for the country.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, during the meeting, President Zardari discussed the importance of equipping students with both technical skills and soft skills such as critical thinking, communication, and teamwork. IIUI Rector Dr. Samina Malik and President Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi updated the President on the university’s recent activities and strategic direction, including the implementation of the Strategic Plan 2022-2026 aimed at enhancing research, development, innovation, and digitization to improve the university’s financial and administrative operations.

The discussions also covered the university’s recent administrative reforms which focus on providing a conducive environment for students and optimizing resource use. Additionally, it was mentioned that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is contributing support to further the university’s development goals. President Zardari reiterated his commitment to supporting IIUI’s ambitions to accelerate progress in alignment with his vision as Chancellor.
