Islamabad, Today marks the observance of “Alamgiriyum Al-Hazn,” the death anniversary of Hazrat Khadijah Al-Kubra (PBUH), celebrated across Pakistan and the Islamic world as a universal day of mourning. This day is dedicated to remembering the significant contributions and sacrifices of the first mother of the believers, Hazrat Khadijah Al-Kubra, for Islam. The commemoration includes a series of religious events, speeches, and mourning ceremonies to honor her pious life and dedication to the Islamic faith.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the day will begin with the recitation of the Holy Quran at suhoor in mosques throughout Pakistan, including major cities like Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Scholars and preachers will address gatherings to shed light on Hazrat Khadijah’s virtuous life, her role as Muhsina Islam (benefactor of Islam), and her unparalleled sacrifices for the propagation of Islam.
A significant event organized by Umm Al-Binin WAF in Jamiat al-Murtaza includes the procession of Hazrat Khadijah Al-Kubra’s coffin in the central women’s council and a council held at the Ali Mosque. Additional memorial services are planned by various religious and women’s organizations, emphasizing the impact of Hazrat Khadijah’s contributions to Islamic history.
Deputy Convenor of NFJ, Syed Samarul Hassan Naqvi, highlighted Hazrat Khadijah’s purity and piety, referring to her by the nickname “Tahira.” He stressed her unique status as the first mother of the believers and praised her complete dedication of wealth and resources to support the early days of Islam, setting a supreme example of self-sacrifice for the sake of faith.
The observance of this day underscores the importance of remembering and honoring the foundational figures of Islam, ensuring their legacy continues to inspire future generations.
