Lahore, The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially signed an agreement with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to host the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. The signing ceremony took place at the ICC headquarters in Dubai on Friday, marking a significant milestone for Pakistan cricket.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, PCB Management Committee Chairman Mr. Zaka Ashraf and ICC General Counsel Jonathan Hall were present at the signing event. This agreement entrusts Pakistan with the hosting rights for the prestigious international cricket tournament.
The PCB has proactively communicated with the Pakistani government to ensure foolproof security for the visiting international teams during the Champions Trophy. The Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, in a recent meeting with the Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, has assured full cooperation from security agencies for the successful hosting of the event.
Securing the ICC Champions Trophy hosting rights represents a significant achievement for Pakistan’s cricketing community.
